But then our supplier sent us all to work from home, & now our everyday life is loud noise. So first we have our family dog, who barks at every passing shadow. To our 4 kids, who like to get up before the birds do & scream & play. Then our noisy neighbor who is always doing some kind of yard work outside in the loudest way possible, such as taking a lawn mower or a weed whacker. No matter what, our community & our house is incredibly noisy, & I can’t even begin to focus with so much noise. My wifey has been doing her best to silence the dog & the kids, & to talk to our neighbor about the noise problem, but it is all in vain. The dog still barks, the kids still scream & the neighbor still works. However, I have noticed lately that there is a lot of nice office space for rent close to me. As soon as I noticed the first commercial office space for rent, I couldn’t help but to notice how several incubator office spaces are around & how simple it would be to move in a single. This got me thinking about renting out our own company space for rent. My wifey doesn’t like the idea, but at this rate I’m not going to have a job, so I need a solution & fast. I have absolutely no issues with going cheap on things.

If I look for good deals on things or buy used products, it will usually save me a lot more money. Money which I could spend on things I really want. However, that is not always the case, and I ended up learning that the hard way, with my furnace and air conditioning unit. The home we moved in from the start didn’t have the best HVAC equipment. I knew that before moving in, but I still decided to take my chances anyway. As I figured, it wasn’t the best HVAC device, but it was far from the worst either. It lasted another year or so with me, before it eventually broke down and wouldn’t turn back on. The A/C specialist recommended getting a new furnace system and cooling system, but I had another idea in mind. I figured that it probably wouldn’t be very hard to find a used cheap HVAC component online. I was right, there were plenty of used A/C devices online, all of which their owners promised they still worked well. I decided to buy a nice used HVAC machine, and have that installed instead. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a grave mistake, as after that, I had nothing but issues. I had to constantly have the machine repaired, because it kept breaking down. But it seemed no matter how many times it was repaired, it wouldn’t work perfectly. I ended up spending more money on that device, as well as another used A/C I bought, then I would have if I had just gotten a brand new one. Lesson learned, always get brand new HVAC machines.

Although I enjoy and like the winter overall, I can’t stand the dry air it brings.

• When the humidity drops too low, it resembles torture for me.

When I lived in the south, the winters didn’t bother me that much, and that is because in general, the humidity is higher in the southern states, even during winter. However, I moved with my boyfriend a little further up north, and you could definitely tell a difference in the humidity levels. During winter, the air becomes horribly dry. I usually have to wear chapstick as well as bring cough drops with me to help my sore throat. Although that definitely helps, it doesn’t take care of the problem. I knew the humidity must have been getting really bad, when it started getting painful to breathe. I bought a humidifier online, and had it shipped fast to our home. It arrived within a day, and it wasn’t difficult to set up at all. Within an hour, I could actually feel the dry air disappearing, and breathing felt normal again, and not dry and painful. I was incredibly glad that I bought the humidifier, it turned out to be money well spent. Limiting the use of our heating and cooling system was a good idea as well. It turns out the A/C component actually takes humidity out of the air, and I couldn’t have that. So during the day, the air conditioner was turned off to preserve the humidity. Only at night, did we have the cooling unit on, since at night the humidity is higher anyways.

I had been needing to buy more air filters for quite some time now, but I had been delaying it.

Due to inflation, everything has been going up and price, and so I am trying not to buy very much except the necessities.

I was able to go without buying A/C filters for a long time, due to already having a few extra. However, I couldn’t go forever, because eventually I went through those as well. Finally, the HVAC provider closest to me was having an irresistible sale going on. They were offering to buy 3 HEPA air filters, get 3 free. There was no way I was going to get a deal this good again, so I decided now was the day to buy those filters. The sale only laste today, and I knew I wasn’t going to be the only one taking advantage of this deal. So I made sure to go early and buy the filters while they were still there. Luckily, in the early morning hours the A/C store wasn’t busy, and I was able to take advantage of the sale with ease. While I was there, I spotted a reusable air filter, and I bought one of those as well. I always wanted to try a washable filter, but I had heard so many things about HEPA filters, I knew I needed some of those too. I will probably have to try both of them and see which one saves me more money in the long run and which one improves the air quality the most.

As soon as my boss mentioned having a sale on smart thermostats, I knew we were going to be busy. I work in a HVAC store, and most of our items can be quite pricey. Because of this, whenever there is a sale, we sell out really quickly. Especially if it is something like smart thermostats, which are very new, very modern and very efficient. A lot of people are on the lookout for a cheap smart thermostat, and now is a great time to get one. Sure enough, on the first day of the sale, there were a ton of people pouring in to buy the smart thermostats. The few dial thermostats we had remained untouched, while a lot of the shelves for other thermostats started getting cleared. I was off for the next two days, but when I returned, I was not surprised at all to see the smart thermostats were completely sold out. There were still a lot of people coming in asking about them, but we had to tell them that we’re out, and to try another A/C store. It was just in time to, because the sale ended today, and with that, there were a lot less customers coming in as well. My boss was incredibly pleased with all of the sales, and told me that he plans on doing a similar sale in the future, except this time it will be for HEPA air filters. I don’t look forward to more busy days and multiple phone calls asking about the sale. I might have to take a few days off then as well.
