As soon as my boss mentioned having a sale on smart thermostats, I knew we were going to be busy. I work in a HVAC store, and most of our items can be quite pricey. Because of this, whenever there is a sale, we sell out really quickly. Especially if it is something like smart thermostats, which are very new, very modern and very efficient. A lot of people are on the lookout for a cheap smart thermostat, and now is a great time to get one. Sure enough, on the first day of the sale, there were a ton of people pouring in to buy the smart thermostats. The few dial thermostats we had remained untouched, while a lot of the shelves for other thermostats started getting cleared. I was off for the next two days, but when I returned, I was not surprised at all to see the smart thermostats were completely sold out. There were still a lot of people coming in asking about them, but we had to tell them that we’re out, and to try another A/C store. It was just in time to, because the sale ended today, and with that, there were a lot less customers coming in as well. My boss was incredibly pleased with all of the sales, and told me that he plans on doing a similar sale in the future, except this time it will be for HEPA air filters. I don’t look forward to more busy days and multiple phone calls asking about the sale. I might have to take a few days off then as well.
