I have made a lot of bad choices in life when it comes to business.

This is why I am not a business owner nor a businessman. I am a regular joe who works in an office doing accounting for a heating and air conditioning company. This was an offer I could not pass up. It was actually a great choice. The first good choice I ever made from a business standpoint. How is this business you may ask? Well, because it just is! Anything that involves a deal and money for a product and service is business to me. I am so glad I took the offer, because about a month later we had this really bad storm that beat the living hell out of my central heating and air conditioning system! If I had not had the heating and air conditioning service plan in place with the HVAC company that I work for, the repairs alone for my HVAC unit would have cost me over five hundred bucks! But because I had this heating and air conditioning service plan at the discounted price from the heat and a/c company I do accounting for, it ended up costing me only two hundred bucks! And that two hundred bucks was just part of the monthly fee that I pay to have the HVAC service and protection plan.

One of those rules is that I always guarantee quality service or your job in HVAC repair that you hired me for is one hundred percent free of charge. I know that I am a great heating and cooling specialist, so the chances of a bad job happening is very rare. So I know that 99 percent of the time the customer will not be able to or want to complain and make me give the service free. However, every so often you do get that one person that just isn’t happy and is a real jerk. I had one of these recently. And even though I really wanted to tell this person where to stick it, I had to make good on the deal that I offer which is if you are not happy with the service it is free. This person was making up stuff just to get free HVAC home services, I saw this right away. But what could I do? If I did not make good on the deal and charge him nothing, he would go around and talk bad about me and ruin my otherwise high flowing private heating and air conditioning business that I have going for myself! If this happened every week or even every month I would have to change my policy. But since it is maybe once every few years I get these kinda people, I just suck up the loss and keep my good name.

I work on a farm for a living. It is actually my own farm so I work for myself. I grow all kinds of fruits and veggies here and then I sell them to independent markets. I was recently on vacation and staying at this 5 star hotel with my wife. We had a lot of fun and at night when the day was done we would always go to the hotel lounge. They usually had drink specials and all in there. But the other thing that was very appealing about this hotel lounge was the really great air conditioning that they had. The central air conditioning was unlike any air conditioning you would usually find in lounges. Part of this is because they did not allow any smoking in there. This helped the indoor air quality. The other thing was the lounge was inside the hotel so you did not have to worry about people coming in and out and making the air conditioning go weak. That was a big perk as well. This central air conditioning system they had was part of their commercial heat and a/c unit. The power that it had was amazing. The central air conditioning was the perfect temperatures throughout the entire lounge. There was not a spot there that the air conditioning did not hit just as good as the other spots. If you wanna talk about perfect indoor climate control, this hotel lounge was it. It was very sad that we had to leave and go home, because I would have been able to live this life forever! Going to the hotel lounge and enjoying the atmosphere along with the central air conditioning was pure heaven to tell you the truth.

When I started up my air conditioner for the first time in May, there were some minor concerns.

Last winter, my furnace just wasn’t keeping up.

Although the outdoor temperature was especially cold, dropping down into the negative digits, I expected better from the heating system. Adjusting the thermostat didn’t seem to make much improvement. The house felt chilly and the temperature varied from one room to another. I also noticed some unpleasant smells in the house and a worrisome amount of dust blowing around. When I googled my complaints online, I suspected that my duct system was to blame. Everything I read pointed toward holes and possible leaks at the seams. I then searched around for an HVAC contractor who specializes in a full range of duct services. I wanted a professional who would be able to provide accurate duct testing and handle any necessary repairs. I looked for a company that was certified in Aeroseal duct sealing. When the technician came to the house and inspected and evaluated the ductwork, he found that nearly 30% of my heated air was escaping through a variety of flaws. Along with holes and cracks at the seams, there were sections of the system that needed to be completely replaced. I was thankful for all of my research, because the contractor I chose included a sheet metal fabrication shop. They were able to custom design, fabricate and install sections of the ductwork. They then used a machine to inject pressurized air laced with polymer particles into the system. The process was guided and monitored by a computer to ensure the right amount of adhesive was introduced into the system. As the air leaked out, those particles clung to the edges and created an airtight seal. The whole process took a couple of hours and created no mess or damage. The difference in the performance of my furnace was immediately noticeable.

I’ve been looking into buying a new furnace for my home.

My current heating system is over twenty years old.

It makes a lot of noise whenever it starts up and runs more often and longer than it used to. The furnace is no longer putting out as much air but definitely adding a lot more dust into the home. The temperature from one room to another is very inconsistent, and the whole home tends to feel chilly on especially cold nights. No matter how high I adjust the thermostat, the furnace can’t keep up with demand. My monthly heating bills have grown steadily higher, and the system requires several small repairs every year. I am willing to pay more for zone control, multi stage filtration, humidity control, adaptable-speed technology and wifi accessibility. The lower monthly energy bills will help to recover the investment into a new furnace.
