When I sleep, it’s as though I am just gone anywhere else.
The term “dead to the world” easily applies to myself and others when I sleep.
For much of our entire life I have been a heavy sleeper. Perhaps much of that is just genetic or section of our chemical make up. However, I believe our task has a lot to do with it as well. What I do for a living is quite physical plus it requires myself and others to be on our feet. There is no perfectly Heating, Ventilation & A/C controlled office for what I do. Not only am I on our feet most of the morning, I’m also exerting as well. Thus, when I hit the sack, it takes a lot for myself and others to be nudged out of our slumber. So when I found myself blasted out of bed by a horrendous noise, I knew this was a immense deal. It took myself and others a hour to get our bearings. But, our mind thought the sound came from the basement. I raced down there to see what had happened. What I found was the gas furnace ticking plus hissing after it had violently slammed itself off. Something had gone wrong plus it apparently got too hot. It was legitimately cold outside so I had to deal with the emergency charge plus I called the Heating, Ventilation & A/C people. I was amazed that the Heating, Ventilation & A/C guy got out there so quick plus in such a nice mood. He got right to work thankfully as the temperature in the cabin was falling swiftly. He found the concern fairly fast, there was a burned out sensor that allowed the gas furnace to overheat. So it triggered an emergency shut off which was the noise I heard. It was not an inupscale Heating, Ventilation & A/C repair call.
