I had obtained some washable air filters recently, and unluckyly they were defective.

They worked for round 1. But then when it came time to take them out of the central heating and air conditioner plan and scrub them, they would flake apart and get destroyed! I tried a few of the washable air filters just to be sure, and they all flaked when washing them. So i returned the filters to the store where I obtained them explaining what had happened. They were legitimately sorry about it and they provided to update them with the same brand washable air filters. I have to confess I was a but paranoid, so I opted for just my currency back instead and after that I went and obtained a bunch of regular air filters in the top quality HEPA brand. The HEPA brand air filters I knew would last myself and others a few weeks for each filter and was almost the same as what you can accomplish with respectfully made washable air filters. You just had to spend money a little more for HEPA brand air filters. Which I did not mind doing. Because at least with HEPA air filters I suppose I am dealing with a well known brand name and knew that they would not be defective love those washable air filters I obtained had been. I will just keep going to HEPA air filters for all of my Heating as well as A/C filter needs.

He asked if he could look at our loft Heating, Ventilation & A/C system, & I said that he could look but not mess around with it. One day I know Mike will be the one & only Heating, Ventilation & A/C tech who works in our home, but that day has not arrived just yet. I had the optimistic confidence of someone who didn’t know what he was doing, and only the wise people know what to worry about, it’s the young ones that recognize they have everything covered.

After a year of residing here in this cabin, I have l received so much. It makes myself and others realize how ignorant I was at first, & how unprepared! That first Winter time was touch & go at times, because of our terrible preparation, but thankfully I am wiser now. I started prepping for this Winter time weeks ago, & I recognize I am in a good position with our firewood. A wood burning gas furnace uses a lot more wood than you would expect. My first Winter time I didn’t have nearly enough firewood, but since I had a nice space oil furnace I thought I would be okay. The electricity for the oil furnace ran out when the gas for the generator ran out. It also had a solar option, but there hadn’t been any sunlight in weeks, so the space oil furnace was basically worthless. I had to hustle to keep the gas furnace fed, & I will be honest, there were a couple of weeks where all I did was cut wood, sleep, & eat. This Winter time things will be a little easier, because of our wood supply, but also I have a much more ample gas supply, so our trusty space oil furnace can work longer than it did last year. It gives myself and others peace of mind to know I have multiple heating sources to keep myself and others toasty sizzling through this long winter.
