Playing guitar is something that I always care about doing. No matter how long I play for or how much my fingers hurt because of the strings, I always care about playing guitar and getting lost in the music. Playing guitar on my porch on a beautiful Summer evening is a feeling that is unable to be imitated or replicated, and one that I hold actually close to my heart. As it is a passion of mine, I have taken my guitar to various weird places, and played professionally at a wide variety of venues, one sentiment that I can’t shake, though, is the feeling that I always play better in venues with good Heating and A/C. It sounds a little absurd at first, however when I lay down to believe about it, it makes a lot of sense! Playing guitar requires a high level of both comfort and fluidity, various things that would be almost impossible to achieve if I was too tied up shivering due to a lack of a heating system or dripping with sweat due to lack of an a/c. It’s always the worst situation when I’m meant to play at a venue during the Winter time season, and there’s actually no heating for me! Playing accurate notes becomes a much harder job than when I’m not harshly frigid and chattering my teeth. In fact, it even becomes difficult to remember which notes to play next when I’m too cold! It’s true that I love playing guitar, and I’ll almost never turn down an opportunity to play, however I will always choose a venue with good heating and cooling if I have the choice.
