I know it sounds strange but wouldn’t it be nice if you could heat up other rooms in your house with your fireplace? I like to think outside of the box sometimes.
A fireplace only heats up the immediate room more or less, so it isn’t the most efficient type of heating for a big house with rooms very far away from the fireplace.
I spend a lot of time in my office and it is on the opposite side of the house from the fire so I don’t get much heat in there. It would be cool if they made some kind of zone control heating where you could direct the heat coming from the fireplace into other rooms. Maybe they do have this already but I haven’t seen it anywhere yet. I’m not an HVAC specialist though so maybe there is something out there that already does this type of thing. Tonight is a special night because I am finally making one of my favorite dishes from scratch; chicken curry. I got some the other night at a restaurant, and it was very tasty, yet the portion was so small for the price that I will never go there again. I would rather spend the extra money I save from eating at home on an HVAC service plan or possibly a new smart programmable wifi thermostat given that mine is an old dial type and not working very well anymore. I also enjoy cooking a lot more now as opposed to when I was younger, I guess I have more patience.
