I can’t even explain why, but I have only been getting my cooling system tune-ups for the past few years.
I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised when my heating system broke down in the winter season. Fortunately, the temperatures weren’t super freezing as there was a break in the cold weather. I was able to get an HVAC expert out to repair the heating system within the same day and I didn’t have to call for emergency services. He said that my heating system would be alright, but I should have been getting my heating system maintenance. He had to stress how important it is to get tune-ups for both heating and cooling systems as one doesn’t take precedence over the other. I guess for some reason, I thought my heating system could take the beating worse than my cooling system, but I was wrong. I mean, I changed the furnace filters regularly so at least that was something, but components tend to wear out in HVAC systems and have to be replaced at critical times. I was really happy when I had my heating system working again and I told the HVAC expert that I would make sure to call for regular maintenance moving forward. He advised that I look into their HVAC service plans so that I could have everything covered without putting too much thought into it all. I told him that was something that I would have to consider. It didn’t take long for me to realize that I could save a lot of money by enrolling into an HVAC service plan, and now I am enrolled in a plan where they even change the air filters for me each quarter.
