Even though it seems odd, wouldn’t it be nice to be able to heat other rooms in your lake house with the fireplace? It’s fun to think outside the box sometimes.
- Fireplaces only heat up the immediate area, so for a lake house with rooms very far away from the fireplace, it is not the most effective type of heating.
My office is on the opposite side of the lake house from the fire, so I don’t get much heat in there. If there was some kind of zone control heating where you could direct heat out of the fireplace to other rooms, that would be great. It may already exist but I haven’t seen it yet. Although I am not an HVAC expert, maybe there is something out there that already does this kind of thing. The night is special because I am finally making one of my favorite dishes from scratch. It’s chicken curry. I got some the other night at a restaurant, and it was really tasty, yet the portion was so small for the price that I will never go there again. Since my old dial-type thermostat doesn’t work as well as it used to, I would rather spend the extra money I save by eating at the lake house on a new Heating and Air Conditioning service plan or a smart Wi-Fi temperature control. Now that I am older, I enjoy cooking a lot more than when I was younger. Possibly because I am more patient now.
