Why Your Coil Might Need Cleaning

The moisture in the air condenses on the chilly evaporator coils.

The A/C plan relies on airflow to dehumidify or remove moisture.

When the amount of air flow isn’tsufficient to remove the water fast enough, the water can freeze and become ice. Ice buildup can continue until the air conditioning system coils are cleaned. Ice further reduces airflow, allowing more ice to form. This may eventually stop all airflow to your home. It will continue to run until it reaches the desired temperature inside your home. When the evaporator coil is blocked with dirt, the plan will not be able to cool and it could if it were clean. The evaporator coil removes heat from the air circulated over it and into your home. If the air cannot contact the coil, heat transfer is reduced. The air conditioning system plan can only compensate by running longer. An increase in runtime will increase your operating costs and negatively affect your power bill. Moisture will form on coils and lines due to air blockage in the air conditioning system coil. Moisture and dirt are the perfect ingredients for mold and mildew to grow, posing a drastic health risk. As soon as this happens, there may be a musty odor inside. You should call for air conditioning system coil cleaning as soon as possible if you suspect your evaporator coil is growing mold. As the compressor operates, it generates heat. It may fail once the compressor reaches the end of its duty cycle. Modern air conditioning systems are designed to sense this rise in temperature and shut down before major injure is done. This is due to the air conditioning system coils needing to be cleaned. The plan goes through the same cycle once the thermal overload circuit is reset. The compressor and other components are slowly injured over time. An air conditioning repair could become more overpriced if this is not. You can disinfect your air conditioning coils yourself.
