I just don’t think I can picture myself working for anyone any longer.
The pandemic has been incredibly bad in so multiple ways.
So multiple people lost their lives too early and in a horrible fashion. There is no denying that and I’m thankful I wasn’t 1 of them. This though made it easier to stay put in the a/c at lake home as the pandemic raged. And staying at lake home forced me to reinvent myself after our job was clipped due to the financial chaos brought on by all of this. But somehow, I’m still here and I’m working from the a/c in our lake home now. Through some perseverance, I turned some online gigs into a steady gig that is paying the bills. It’s only been about a year and a half now but I’m making nearly what I was in the zone controlled HVAC of the venue I was working. And there is no boss to micromanage our every move. Plus, being your own boss also allows me to have our schedule be the way I want our schedule not the other way around. So the program of going back to the soul crushing position in that zone controlled HVAC was not at all beautiful. No, that was not going to happen. I don’t mind hustling and working a lot whenever I have to. Plus, I’m constantly lake home when the HVAC professional is coming to do the HVAC maintenance. For sure, I got to keep the HVAC equipment in tip top shape as our comfort is labor related now as well.
