A properly working HVAC system should be able to maintain the desired ambient temperature of your home throughout the entire house, and you should not experience changes in temperature from room to room, unless you have a smart thermostat with zone control. If you experience uneven temperatures in your home, you may have leaks in your ductwork. Over time, ductwork will expand and contract as the metal heats and cools, and eventually, will need to be replaced. Regular inspection and maintenance of your HVAC system is the best way to make sure that it is working as efficiently as possible.
