I started working from home immediately when the pandemic started.
At the beginning of working from home, I was able to comfortably work from my kitchen table.
When I had to take calls, I would just step outside. My house was full of teenagers on zoom school, pets, and so many distractions, so going outside was more quiet. When my company announced that we would be working from home. I knew I needed to find another solution besides my kitchen table. I decided to build a backyard apartment office. A ductless mini-split has an evaporator and a condenser just like a traditional Heating and A/C system, but the flow of coolant can be reversed in order to both heat and cool the room. The installation was quick and painless, as I only needed to drill a single 3 inch hole for all of the necessary components. Thanks to my ductless mini-split, my backyard apartment office is a perfectly comfortable place for me to work remotely, in a distraction free environment.
