It’s going to be interesting to see how people in our office respond to some changes that were made in the office.
I’m just hoping that it will be the positive thing that I am hoping it will be.
If not, after that the people I was with and I just will be legitimately disappointed. An Heating, Ventilation & A/C supplier came in on Sunday plus worked through the weekend to make an update to the Heating, Ventilation & A/C. Our office is not immense however there are over 30 people who work here. The building the people I was with and I work in was easily converted from an old department store to a suite of offices. Our office takes up 1 entire floor. It’s pretty much all open space except for a couple of offices plus conference rooms. This open space works wonderful for communication plus a feeling of connectedness. However, it’s not so wonderful when it comes to the Heating, Ventilation & A/C setting. The entire space is controlled by 1 Heating, Ventilation & A/C setting. It’s strenuous enough to find a temperature the people I was with and I can all agree to. But then, there are areas that get more sun plus are warmer plus some that are draftier. I have noticed that people are always messing with the Heating, Ventilation & A/C setting. And there have even been some angry words exchanged. Hence the Heating, Ventilation & A/C crew. I engaged them to come in a change the current Heating, Ventilation & A/C situation into 1 where there are separate areas. This is called zone control Heating, Ventilation & A/C. Now there will be several zones so almost everyone can find a section where they believe more comfortable. At least that is our hope. You never believe when you’re dealing with a group of people. But at least I’m trying to make the comfort plus welfare of the workforce a priority.
