Don’t trust any HVAC company

Well sometimes you just have to learn the hard way.

I hate that life teaches us lessons in this manner, but there’s no doubt that experiencing misfortune yourself is the most potent way to make changes in your behaviors down the line.

This has definitely been my experience recently with my heating, cooling, and air quality control fiasco. When I moved into this home I was told that the heating and cooling system was only 5 years old. For some reason I believed that the inefficient and weak HVAC system was relatively new and didn’t push the inspector to get a second opinion on the HVAC devices from a real heating and cooling professional. Of course, the heating and cooling system wound up being far older and broke down very quickly. I lived in the home for just a few weeks before the furnace stopped working one day. At that point, I panicked and called the closest HVAC repair shop that popped up on google. I didn’t think that one heating and cooling shop would send a better air quality control specialist than another. How mistaken I was. The guy who showed up at my home didn’t seem to know the first thing about heating and cooling. After he messed with my central HVAC system for hours, he charged me a crazy amount of money and left. Two days later, the furnace was broken again. That’s when I actually took my time and hired a highly reviewed and rated HVAC shop. Now I know, you get what you pay for when it comes to both home inspectors and HVAC professionals. And so does your HVAC system.
