Now, I can work in my backyard office and stay comfortable

When the pandemic first hit, I started working from home instantly! At first, I was able to work comfortably from my living room table.

When I needed to take calls, I would step outside to talk on the phone. As my home was full of teenagers doing online school, animals, and other several distractions, I knew I needed to find a way to work and take calls comfortably in my home. When my corporation announced that we would be working remotely full time, I knew that I had to find another solution. I decided to build a backyard office of my own. The building of the structure went according to plan, and I was all set to be working in my new office in no time. The only decision I had left to make was how to heat and cool my new office. Extending the HVAC duct of my existing Heating and A/C proposal would be costly and very time consuming. I didn’t want to sacrifice a single window of my office for an ugly, inefficient window unit. I decided to go with a ductless mini-split. A ductless mini-split has an evaporator and a condenser like a traditional Heating and A/C system. But, the flow of coolant can be reversed in order to both heat and cool the room. The replacement was quick plus painless, as I only needed to drill an inch hole for all of the necessary components. Thanks to my ductless mini-split, my backyard office is a perfectly comfortable space for me to work remotely, in a distraction free environment. If you have thought about building a backyard living room since the recent pandemic, call up your local Heating and A/C provider and see if a ductless mini-split is right for you!

A ductless mini split was the best option

When the pandemic first hit, I started working from home right away and was able to work comfortably at my kitchen table.

Since my house was full of teenagers doing school on zoom, pets, and many more distractions, I would just have to go outside to take calls.

When my employer announced that we would be working remotely full time, I knew that I had to find another solution. I decided to build a backyard home office. The building of the structure went according to plan, and I was all set to be working in my new office very quickly. The only thing I had left to do was set up heating and cooling in my new office. Extending the ductwork of my existing Heating and A/C system would cost me so much money that I didn’t have and would take a lot of time before my office would be ready to work in. So, that was not an option for me. Also, I didn’t want to sacrifice the one window of my office for an ugly, inefficient window unit either. I decided to go with a ductless mini-split system. A ductless mini-cut has an evaporator and a condenser like a traditional Heating and A/C system. The flow of coolant can be reversed in order to both heat and cool the room. The replacement was quick and painless, as I only needed to drill one three inch hole for all of the necessary components. Thanks to my ductless mini-split, my backyard home office is a perfectly comfortable place for me to work without distractions. If you have thought about building a backyard home office since the recent pandemic, call up your local Heating and A/C provider and see if a ductless mini-cut is right for you.

It is always too cold at the house

Last summer, I took a big step in my life and moved out of my parents house and headed off to college.

My parents are always talking about how much they miss me and I think about them often.

It is because they miss me that I try to make my way home and see them as often as I can. It is great during breaks to come home and see my younger siblings and stay with family again. Everytime I walk into my old room, nostalgia hits me like a tidal wave. It seems like not that long ago I was six years old and playing with my toys. Seeing my family is great, but when it comes to visiting my parents house, there is one thing that I never forget to bring and that is a comfortable sweater. Both my mom and my dad are lovers of the cold, and as a result they always keep their air conditioning system on blast. I am the only one in the family, even among my siblings that prefers the warmer temperatures. I remember the one time I visited and I forgot to bring any long sleeved clothes, I was freezing! The thermostat in the house was set to 65 degrees and I thought I would freeze. My parents have a smart thermostat that they use to control the temperatures of the HVAC system. Thankfully, my mom being the awesome person she is, was prepared. I don’t know how she does it, but she is always prepared for everything and it has come in handy so many times. She had some extra blankets that she gave me. It was great because the rest of the family could enjoy the cool temperatures while I stayed warm under the covers.
